Connecting your Microsoft Outlook calendar to Vinyl lets Vinyl detect and join your scheduled meetings automatically. Once connected, Vinyl will join any Outlook calendar event that includes a supported meeting link and begin recording when the meeting starts.
Connect your Outlook calendar
Click on the Integrations. Under Microsoft Outlook, click Sign in with Microsoft.
Follow the prompts to allow Vinyl access to your calendar.
If you are using a Microsoft 365 account managed by your organisation, you may need admin approval to connect successfully. If prompted, follow these steps to request access.
What happens after you connect
Once connected, Vinyl will scan your Outlook calendar for upcoming events and join meetings when it detects a supported link. If a meeting includes a Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet link in the location or description of the calendar invite, Vinyl will automatically join and begin recording when the meeting starts.
This means you do not need to invite Vinyl manually, as long as the meeting is in your connected calendar and includes a supported link, Vinyl will take care of the rest.
The Outlook option isn't showing up in Integrations at all
If Microsoft Outlook doesn't appear as an option on your Integrations page at all (rather than showing as disconnected), try the following:
Check that you have permission to manage integrations on your account, this may be restricted to your team's Master Admin.
If your organisation has more than one Vinyl team, confirm you're viewing the correct team, as integrations are set up per team.
Check with your IT or Microsoft 365 admin that access to Vinyl hasn't been revoked at the organisation level.
If none of these apply and the option is still missing, contact our support team so we can investigate your account directly.
