When you need to verify what was said, who said it, or when, Ask Vinyl can search the transcript and give you exact quotes, speaker names, and timestamps. No rewatching required.
Example prompts
Ask specific questions rather than requesting broad summaries:
"What did the client say about the project deadline?"
"Provide the exact quote where the client approved the budget."
"Who raised concerns about pricing? Include their name and what they said."
"When did we discuss the onboarding timeline? Include timestamps."
"Only show parts of the meeting where compliance risks were mentioned."
You can follow up in the same chat to dig deeper, "Show me more context around that quote" or "What was said immediately after?".
Jumping to the recording
When Ask Vinyl returns a timestamp, you can click it to jump straight to that moment in the recording. This is useful when you need to hear tone or see the full context around a quote before relying on it.
Tips
Ask for exact quotes when wording matters. A summary might paraphrase; a direct quote won't.
Name the speaker if you're looking for a specific person. "What did Sarah say about the timeline?" is better than "What was said about the timeline?"
Request timestamps when you need to verify context. The transcript captures words, but sometimes you need to hear how something was said.
Keep each chat focused on one meeting or topic. If you're switching to a different meeting, start a new chat.
Important
Ask Vinyl searches the selected meeting transcripts only. Always check the surrounding context before relying on a quote, and confirm that sharing it aligns with your firm's privacy and compliance standards.
