If Vinyl isn’t automatically joining your scheduled Google Meet meetings, it’s usually because of how the meeting was created, an issue with your calendar setup, or a problem with the integration.
This guide will help you check what’s going wrong and how to fix it.
Vinyl only joins meetings that are scheduled in your Google Calendar
Vinyl relies on your connected calendar to detect and join upcoming meetings. If a meeting was created manually inside Google Meet without a matching calendar event, Vinyl won’t be able to join it.
To check:
Open your Vinyl dashboard
Look under Upcoming Meetings to see if the meeting appears
If it’s missing, it’s likely that the meeting wasn’t added to your calendar
If the meeting does not exist in your calendar, Vinyl cannot detect or join it automatically.
Check your Google Calendar integration
Vinyl needs access to your Google Calendar to work properly. If you’ve recently changed your password or revoked permissions, the integration may need to be refreshed.

Add the meeting manually if needed
If the meeting wasn’t added to your calendar or Vinyl didn’t join, you can still capture the meeting manually using the ad-hoc capture option.
