Receive email summaries of your meetings

Vinyl can automatically send you a summary email after each meeting, making it easy to stay on top of key discussions, transcripts, and action items.

These emails are only sent internally to your team and are not shared with external participants, ensuring sensitive information remains within your organization.

  1. Open Vinyl and log into your account

  2. Click My Settings from the left-hand taskbar

  3. In the General tab, scroll down to the My Information section

Toggle the option for Meeting Summary Emails:

  • On – You'll receive a summary by email after each meeting

  • Off – No summary email will be sent

If enabled, you'll receive a summary email shortly after your meeting wraps up. It includes:

These summaries are only sent to internal team members who meet specific conditions, such as being a meeting host or attendee with email preferences enabled.

  • Meeting title and participants

  • Key discussion highlights

  • Action items

  • Link to the full meeting page on Vinyl

These summaries help you keep track of conversations and follow-ups, great for busy teams or working on the go.

Recipient Rules and Conditions

Post-meeting summaries are sent to internal team members who meet the following criteria:

  1. Meeting Hosts: Any team member set as a host for the meeting.

  2. Attendees: Team members who attended the meeting.

To receive these summaries, team members must also have their post-meeting email preference enabled in their Vinyl settings. External participants are excluded from receiving these summaries, ensuring that sensitive information remains within your organization.

Not receiving summary emails?

Before reaching out, check these two things:

  1. Confirm the Meeting Summary Emails toggle is switched on in your settings

  2. Check your spam or junk folder, summary emails come from [email protected]

Additionally, note that external participants will not receive these summaries, as they are restricted to internal team members.
