Control what you share in public meeting links

Updated over a month ago

Vinyl lets you customise what others see when you share a public link to a meeting. Whether you want to keep things simple or share the full context, you can choose how much detail gets included, every time.

How to update your share settings

To choose your default sharing preference:

  1. Click My Settings from the left-hand menu

  2. Go to the General tab

  3. Scroll down to the My Information section

  4. Find the Share Settings section

  5. Choose your preferred sharing level from the options below:

    • Summary, transcript, and recording

    • Summary and transcript only

    • Recording only

    • Nothing (link will not display any content)

Click Save changes to apply your selection

What Each Option Means

Setting

What’s Included in the Link

Summary, transcript, and recording

Everything from the meeting: AI notes, full transcript, and any attached recording

Summary and transcript only

AI-generated notes and transcript, but no access to the recording

Recording only

Just the audio/video recording—no notes or transcript

Nothing

The link won’t show any meeting content at all

Choosing the right share settings helps you protect sensitive information or simplify what’s being sent. You might want to send just the action items, or provide the full context, it’s up to you.

NOTE: Your settings apply to all future PUBLIC meeting links you create, but you can update them anytime.
