Customise what gets shared in public meeting links

Updated over a month ago

When you share a meeting link from Vinyl, you control exactly what others can see. Whether you're sending a quick summary to a colleague or giving a client access to a full meeting replay, you can tailor how much information is visible.

What you can customise

Vinyl lets you choose how much of the meeting content is shared when someone opens a public link:

  • Summary, transcript, and recording

  • Summary and transcript only

  • Recording only

  • Nothing

This gives you flexibility over how much context you provide when sharing with people outside your team.

How to update your share settings

To choose your default sharing preference:

  1. Log in to your Vinyl account

  2. Click My Settings from the left-hand taskbar (look for the gear icon)

  3. Scroll to the General Settings section

  4. Under Share Settings, select your preferred sharing option

  5. Click Save changes to confirm

By default, Vinyl is set to share the summary, transcript, and recording, but you can change this at any time to suit how you work.

Adjusting your share settings ensures your team and clients see exactly what you want them to, and nothing more.
