Vinyl makes it easy to keep your team and clients in the loop. Whether you're sharing a full meeting summary with a client after their annual review or flagging a specific action item to a colleague, the mobile app gives you flexible options to share exactly what you need.
Open the meeting summary
Open the Vinyl mobile app
Go to the Recordings tab
Tap the meeting you want to share
This will take you to the full summary, including key notes, action items, and the transcript.
Once you're in the meeting view, tap the Share icon in the top right. From here, you've got a few options:
Share with your team
If your teammates are already on Vinyl, you can quickly share the meeting summary with them.
This keeps everything in one place, with access to all notes and actions.
Copy specific sections
Tap the three dots next to any section (e.g. Summary, Transcript, Action Items).
Choose Copy to clipboard.
Paste it into Slack, Teams, an email, wherever it needs to go.
Ideal when you just want to share a highlight or a specific action item with a client immediately after the meeting.
Copy full meeting link
Select Copy Meeting Link from the share menu.
This copies a URL that anyone with the link can open — it's not tied to a specific person and can't be revoked per-recipient.
Useful for pasting into an email or message you're already composing.
Send directly to a client's email (recommended for client sharing)
For sharing with a specific client or third party, the better option is to use the external share feature from the Vinyl web app. You enter their email address and Vinyl sends them a personalised link — no Vinyl account needed on their end, and you can revoke access at any time.

Once you've shared, Vinyl will confirm it's been copied or sent successfully. You can always return to the meeting and share again if needed.
Quick tip: Not everyone needs the full transcript. Use the section copy option when a short action item list or summary will do the trick.
