What's new on the Meeting Summary page

An overview of the redesigned Meeting Summary page — what's on it, how to navigate it, and what changed from the previous version.

The Meeting Summary page has been redesigned. It now brings everything you need from a meeting — the summary, transcript, recording, and AI assistant — into one place, so you can review what happened and act on it without switching between tabs or tools.

Getting there

Open the Recordings tab from the left-hand menu and click on any completed meeting. If the meeting has finished processing, you'll land directly on the updated summary page.

What's on the page

Meeting header

At the top you'll see the meeting title, date, duration, and participant names. If the meeting was linked to a client, their name will appear here too.

Summary

Vinyl's AI-generated summary covers the key discussion points, decisions made, and action items from the meeting. This is generated automatically — you don't need to do anything to trigger it.

Action items

Action items are pulled out separately so they're easy to scan and follow up on. These are extracted directly from what was said in the meeting.

Transcript

The full word-for-word transcript is accessible on the same page, with speaker names and timestamps throughout so you can verify exactly who said what and when.

Recording

The meeting recording is available directly on the page. No need to navigate elsewhere to play it back.

Ask Vinyl — right panel

Ask Vinyl sits in the right-hand panel of the meeting page. You can ask it anything about the meeting — what was agreed, who owned an action, what figures came up — and it will answer in seconds with direct quotes and timestamps from the transcript.

From within Ask Vinyl, you can also create and draft documents with a single click: follow-up emails, client summaries, proposals, engagement letters, and more. Each output comes with options to copy the content, download it as a PDF, or — once it's set up — send it directly from Vinyl via Gmail or Outlook.

What changed from the previous version

The previous meeting page split content across multiple tabs. The new page consolidates everything into a single view, with Ask Vinyl always accessible in the right panel without having to navigate away from the summary.

The one-click create and draft actions are new. Previously, generating a follow-up email or client summary required you to type a prompt in Ask Vinyl from scratch. Now common outputs are available in one click — and once generated, you can copy, download as PDF, or soon send directly by email without leaving Vinyl.

Coming soon: send emails from Vinyl

Vinyl is adding direct email integration with Gmail and Outlook. Once connected, you'll be able to send a drafted follow-up email directly from the meeting page — without copying it into your inbox. This feature is in development and will be available soon.

A note on processing time

The summary page populates once Vinyl has finished processing the meeting. For most meetings this takes a few minutes after the recording ends. If you see a processing message, check back shortly.

If a meeting has been processing for more than 30 minutes, contact [email protected] and the team will investigate.
