The Meeting Summary page includes Ask Vinyl in a panel on the right-hand side. As well as answering questions about the meeting, Ask Vinyl lets you create and draft documents with a single click — and take immediate action on the output without leaving the page.
One-click create and draft
Common post-meeting documents can be generated in a single click directly from the Ask Vinyl panel. You don't need to write a prompt from scratch — just click the action you need and Ask Vinyl will produce a draft based on the meeting transcript.
Examples of what you can create in one click:
Follow-up email — a professional recap of what was discussed, agreed, and what happens next, ready to review and send
Meeting summary — a structured summary of key discussion points, decisions, and action items
Action item list — a clean list of everything that needs to happen and who owns it
Client briefing — a document suitable for sharing with a client or storing in their file
You can also type a custom prompt in Ask Vinyl at any time for outputs that aren't covered by the one-click options — proposals, engagement letters, quotes, and more.
Copy or download any output
Once Ask Vinyl generates an output, two actions appear beneath it:
Copy — copies the content to your clipboard so you can paste it into an email, document, or practice management system
Download PDF — downloads the output as a formatted PDF to your device, ready to attach to an email, save to a client file, or store for compliance
Both actions work on any output — whether it came from a one-click action or a custom prompt you typed yourself.
Coming soon: send emails directly from Vinyl
Vinyl is adding direct email integration with Gmail and Outlook. Once connected, a Send Email option will appear alongside Copy and Download PDF — letting you send a drafted follow-up or client summary directly from the meeting page, without switching to your inbox.
This feature is currently in development. It will be available soon.
One-click actions vs. Ask Vinyl prompts
The one-click actions are shortcuts for the most common outputs. They're designed for speed — when you need a follow-up email or summary and don't want to think about the prompt.
For anything more specific — a different structure, a particular tone, something that isn't covered by the standard actions — open Ask Vinyl and type exactly what you need. You can also refine a one-click output by continuing the conversation in the same chat window.
A note on accuracy
All outputs are based on what was said in the meeting transcript. Ask Vinyl doesn't speculate or fill in gaps. Always review any output before sending to a client or saving it to a file — your professional judgement on accuracy and framing still applies.
