Vinyl is designed to record your meetings directly — through the desktop app, browser extension, or mobile app. It doesn't support uploading audio or video files from external sources, such as recordings made in Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or any other platform.
What you can do instead
If you need to capture a meeting in Vinyl, you can:
Use the Vinyl desktop or browser app to record your next meeting directly. Vinyl will join the call and process the recording automatically.
Use the Vinyl mobile app to record in-person or phone conversations. Once finished, open the app on Wi-Fi or strong mobile data to make sure the recording uploads.
Use standalone recording — Vinyl can record without a calendar meeting. Start a recording manually from the app whenever you need it.
