What export options are available?
Vinyl offers different export options depending on which Ask Vinyl output you're working with:
File Note — gives you three options: Copy, Download as PDF, and Download as Word (.docx).
Other Ask Vinyl outputs (summaries, action lists, etc.) — offer Copy and Download as PDF only.
How do I get an editable Word document?
The Download as Word button is available on File Note outputs. Here's how to use it:
Open a meeting from your recordings list.
Go to the Ask Vinyl panel on the meeting summary page.
Click the File Note button to generate a file note for the meeting.
Once the file note is ready, click Download as Word to save an editable .docx file to your device.
The Word file will include your formatted file note content, ready to edit in Microsoft Word or any compatible application.
How do I edit my meeting summary before exporting?
For any Ask Vinyl output, you can edit the underlying content inside Vinyl before exporting:
Open the meeting from your recordings list.
Go to the Insights tab.
Click Edit in the Summary section to update the summary text, then click Save.
To edit individual action items, click the pencil icon next to the item, make your changes, and save.
Once you're happy with the content, regenerate your File Note and use Download as Word, or use Copy / Download as PDF for other outputs.
