Create an Ignition proposal from a Vinyl meeting

How to use the Create proposal button to draft an Ignition proposal directly from a Vinyl meeting — matched to your service library and grounded in what was discussed. Coming soon, beta June 2026.

Coming soon — beta launching June 2026. This article describes how the Vinyl × Ignition integration will work when it's live. Join the waitlist to get early access.

The integration adds a Create proposal button to every Vinyl meeting. After a discovery or scoping call, one click drafts a proposal inside Ignition — matched to your service library, grounded in what was actually discussed, and ready for your review before anything goes to the client.

How it works

  1. Open the meeting in Vinyl. Go to the meeting from your discovery or scoping call.

  2. Click "Create proposal". Vinyl reads the transcript and identifies the services, scope, and pricing discussed. It matches these against your Ignition service library to build the draft.

  3. Review the draft. A summary of the proposed services, prices, and intro message appears before anything is sent to Ignition. Edit any line directly in this view — services, prices, or the intro message.

  4. Save draft to Ignition. When you're happy with it, save the draft. The proposal appears in Ignition ready to send to your client for signature and payment.

What gets matched from the conversation

Vinyl identifies the work discussed in the meeting and maps it to your existing Ignition service library:

  • Services and scope mentioned in the conversation

  • Prices pulled from your current service library — not invented

  • Intro message written in your firm's voice, based on what was actually discussed

  • Client's existing agreements, so the system knows what's already covered and what's new

Nothing is sent to Ignition automatically. The draft is always yours to review first.

What if I don't have a full service library in Ignition yet?

The integration can help you build one. Point Vinyl at a few months of past meetings and engagement letters and it will suggest a draft service library — services named the way you actually describe them, with suggested prices drawn from past engagements — for you to review before it lands in Ignition.
