Overview
Vinyl's Ignition integration lets you turn any client meeting into a ready-to-send Ignition proposal — in as little as five minutes, with one or two clicks. What normally takes around 20 clicks to build directly in Ignition, Vinyl handles for you automatically.
Setting up the integration
Before you can create Ignition proposals through Vinyl, you'll need to connect your Ignition account:
Go to the Integrations page in Vinyl.
Find and click the Ignition button.
Authenticate with your Ignition credentials.
Once connected, you'll be returned to Vinyl — you're ready to go.
How to create a proposal
There are two ways to trigger the Ignition integration:
Click the Draft Proposal button that appears on the Ask Vinyl screen.
Type in the Ask Vinyl chat: "Draft a new proposal in Ignition"
Either method will kick off the same workflow.
How it works
After a meeting, Vinyl reads your meeting notes and automatically:
Checks whether the client already exists in Ignition
Checks whether the relevant services already exist in Ignition
Prompts you to create a new client or service if anything is missing
Generates a draft proposal within about a minute
You then review the proposal inside Vinyl, make any changes you need via the Vinyl chat, and create it as a draft in Ignition — all without leaving the conversation.
Making changes before sending
You don't need to jump into Ignition to edit the proposal. Just ask Vinyl in the chat to make adjustments — update a service, change the price, add a note — and it will update the proposal for you before creating the draft.
Sending to the client
Once you're happy with the proposal, you can push it to Ignition as a draft and send it to the client — all within five minutes of your meeting finishing.
Pair it with Revenue Opportunities
Get even more value by combining the Ignition integration with Vinyl's Revenue Opportunities feature. After a meeting, Vinyl can scan your notes for services you may have discussed but not yet proposed — upsell or cross-sell opportunities you might otherwise miss.
From there, you can ask Vinyl to generate an Ignition proposal based on those revenue opportunities, turning a missed moment into a new engagement in seconds.
Tips
The faster you run this after a meeting, the fresher the context — aim to do it while the conversation is still top of mind.
If Vinyl prompts you to create a new client or service, completing that step unlocks future proposals for that client even faster.
Use the Revenue Opportunities scan before generating the proposal so you can capture everything in a single proposal rather than going back to the client a second time.
