Setting up email integration when you sign in with Xero

If you sign in to Vinyl using your Xero account and are having trouble connecting your email integration, this guide explains how to set up a Vinyl email and password to enable the feature.

If you sign in to Vinyl using your Xero account (Xero SSO), some features — including the email integration — may not be accessible until you set up a Vinyl email address and password in addition to your Xero login.

This article walks you through how to do that.

Step 1: Sign in to Vinyl via Xero

  1. Click Sign in with Xero and complete the Xero login flow.

Step 2: Set up your Vinyl email and password

  1. Once logged in, click your profile icon and go to Settings.

  2. Select Security.

  3. Enter the email address you want to use for Vinyl, then create a password.

  4. Click Save.

Your Xero SSO login will continue to work for signing in on the web. The email and password you set up here enables additional features including the email integration.

Step 3: Connect your email integration

Once your Vinyl email and password are set up, return to Settings and navigate to the Integrations section to connect your email account.
