What can I update in my Vinyl profile?

A overview of the profile fields you can edit in Vinyl, name and account role and what is not currently supported.

What profile fields can I update in Vinyl?

There are two fields you can update in your Vinyl profile:

  • Name — your display name shown across your Vinyl account

  • Role — either Master Admin or Team Member (see below)

Custom job titles or positions (such as "Accountant," "Bookkeeper," or "Senior Advisor") are not currently supported as a profile field.

How to update your name

  1. Go to My Settings in the left menu.

  2. Under the General tab, update your name in the name field.

  3. Wait for the changes to Save automatically.

How to update a team member's role

Only a Master Admin can change another team member's role.

  1. Go to My Settings in the left menu.

  2. Open the Members tab.

  3. Find the team member, click the three dots (⋯) next to their name, then select Edit.

  4. Choose the new role from the dropdown, then click Save.

The change takes effect immediately.
