Every firm has names and terms that matter, such as client names, team members, software and the shorthand you use every day. The firm glossary helps Vinyl spell them your way.
How to access your glossary?
Click your initials in the top right corner of the Vinyl dashboard, then click Settings.
Under the Glossary tab, find your team's glossary of terms and start adding in new ones.
Where your glossary is used
Once a term is in your glossary, Vinyl uses your spelling in:
transcripts
meeting summaries
action items
Vinyl Studio
Add terms to the glossary
Each person in your firm can add up to 30 terms, and everyone's terms are shared across the whole team. That means your glossary grows as your team adds to it, and a term one person adds helps everyone.
To add a term, go to Settings and open [Glossary]. Type the term exactly as you'd like it spelt, then [save].
A few ideas for terms worth adding:
client and business names with unusual spellings
your team members' names
the software and practice management tools you use
acronyms and industry terms specific to your firm
When your spelling and Vinyl's differ
Vinyl has some built-in spelling fixes of its own. If one of your glossary terms clashes with one of these, your firm's spelling wins.
