Set your firm's writing style

Firm tone lets Vinyl write in your firm's voice. Once you've chosen a tone, the emails, proposals, briefs and other content you create in Vinyl Studio will match it, so they sound like your firm before you've changed a word.

Choose from four tones

  • Professional: polished and formal, ideal for firms with a traditional client relationship.

  • Neutral: clear and balanced, without leaning formal or casual.

  • Friendly: warm and approachable, for firms that keep things personal.

  • Concise: short and to the point, for clients who like the key details fast.

What firm tone changes

Firm tone applies to content you create in Vinyl Studio that's written to be shared, for example:

  • follow-up emails to clients

  • proposals

  • briefs for your team or your clients

What stays the same

Your meeting summaries, minutes and file notes keep Vinyl's standard format, so your records stay consistent no matter which tone your firm picks.

Firm tone is a single setting for your whole firm. New firms are asked to choose one during onboarding, and you can update it any time in Settings. Scroll down until you reach Writing Style and choose the tone that suits your firm.
