If your team member hasn’t received their Vinyl invite, here’s how to fix it and get them set up quickly.
Resend The Invite Or Re-Add The User
Go to your My Settings from the left-hand taskbar and find the team member with the pending invite.
Click the three dots (⋯) next to their name and select Resend Invite.
If that doesn’t work, remove the user and re-add them using their email address.
Ask Them To Check Spam Or Junk Folders
Invites can sometimes land in spam or junk folders. Ask your team members to double-check those folders in case the message was filtered out.
Make Sure They Don’t Create A New Team
If someone signs up manually instead of using the invite link, they might accidentally create a new Vinyl team.
Make sure they wait for the official invite email before creating an account.
Refresh or Clear Cache If Login Fails
If they’ve accepted the invite but are getting stuck logging in, a quick refresh or clearing the browser cache can help fix the issue.
Resolving Team Membership Conflicts
If you are trying to join a team but already have an existing Vinyl account associated with a different team, administrative action is required:
The admin of your current team needs to remove you from the existing team. This ensures that your account is free to be associated with the new team.
Once removed, you can be invited to the desired team by an admin of that team.
Administrative users should oversee these changes to avoid disruptions in team management or access levels.
Still Not Working?

Joining a Team Using Third-Party SSO
If you signed up for Vinyl using a third-party SSO provider (e.g., Xero) but were not correctly associated with a team due to missing invitations, follow these steps:
Contact an admin from your organization’s Vinyl team.
Have the admin log in to Vinyl and navigate to the “Invitations” section.
The admin should generate and send a team invitation.
Once you receive the email invitation, follow the instructions provided to connect to the team.
It is essential to use the invite to join the team rather than creating a new account using SSO.
