If you've noticed that the record button is missing for an upcoming meeting in the Vinyl mobile app, this is expected behaviour β not a bug.
Why the button disappears
From Vinyl mobile app version 1.2.2 onwards, the record button for an upcoming meeting will no longer appear once any of the following conditions are met:
The meeting has already been recorded
A new meeting has started (i.e. the next calendar event has begun)
It's been more than 24 hours since the meeting's scheduled start time
This change was introduced to keep your schedule view clean and prevent accidental duplicate recording attempts on meetings that are no longer active.
If you're on an earlier version of the app
Before version 1.2.2, the record button could disappear prematurely in some cases. If you're experiencing this on an older version, update the Vinyl mobile app to 1.2.2 or later and the button will behave correctly.
Still need to record a past meeting?
If the 24-hour window has passed and you still need to capture a meeting, you can record it manually from the Vinyl mobile app. Learn how to record a meeting that's not in your calendar.
