My mobile recording isn't showing up in Vinyl

What to do if a recording from the Vinyl mobile app isn't appearing in your account.

If a recording you made in the Vinyl mobile app is taking longer than expected to appear in your account, or isn't showing up at all, don't worry β€” there are a couple of simple things to check first, and our team is always on hand to help if needed.

Check your connection

Mobile recordings are uploaded to your Vinyl account over the internet. If your device had limited connectivity when you finished recording, the upload may not have completed yet.

Make sure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi or a strong mobile data signal, then reopen the Vinyl app. In many cases, the upload will resume automatically.

Check Previous Recordings in the app

The Vinyl mobile app includes a Previous Recordings section where recordings that haven't uploaded yet are stored temporarily. If your recording is there, you can tap it to retry the upload.

  1. Open the Vinyl mobile app

  2. Look for Previous Recordings on the home screen

  3. If your recording appears, tap it to start the upload

Once uploaded, it will appear in your Vinyl account within a few minutes.

If the recording still isn't there

Our support team can often help investigate and recover recordings in these situations. Please get in touch with us and include the following:

  • The name or title you gave the recording (if applicable)

  • The date and approximate start and finish time

  • Whether the recording appeared to complete normally, or if something went wrong during the session
